ITS™ Controls Bacteria

ITS™ (In-Tank Sanitization) utilizes ultra violet light as an effective method to prevent the potential for biofilm buildup in the storage tank after chlorine has been reduced through carbon filtration. Ultra violet technology also helps reduce any heterotrphic bacteria that may occur in drinking water.

BioCote – Active Bacterial Control

BioCote uses silver technology to inhibit the growth of harmful bacteria. Silver ions are added to product materials during manufacturing, resulting in an active concentration of ions on the product surface. These ions cause a breakdown in the functions of the bacteria, inhibiting growth.

Extensive testing has shown that using BioCote inhibits the growth of a wide range of harmful bacteria, including methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aura (MRSA) and E coli. When a BioCote-treated surface comes into contact with contaminants, the level of bacteria can be seen to reduce gradually over a period of time, whereas on non-treated surfaces, bacteria growth can escalate to dangerous levels.
