Exclusive IDF 3-Stage Technology Makes Better
Water
The IDF process
combines ion exchange (softening), distillation
(boiling and condensation) and carbon filtration
to produce safe drinking water. No single-step
technology is as effective as the IDF process.
1) Ion Exchange (softening)
- Reduces hardness minerals
and prevents scale
- Allows unit to work more
efficiently and last longer
2) Distillation
- Boils to kill bacteria
- Steam is chilled by fan
- Condenses into fresh water
- Substances that cannot
evaporate are left behind in boiling chamber
and are drained away
3) Filtration (carbon)
- Reduces any remaining Volatile
Organic Chemicals (VOCs)
- Carbon filter polishes
the taste
More Effective than filters
or Reverse Osmosis
Different technologies
vary in their effectiveness in reducing contaminants.
Filtering systems reduce some contaminants, but
only some filters trap cysts. They also become
less effective over time as the trapped contaminants
build-up in the filtering medium. Reverse osmosis
systems lose their effective ness as membranes
become dirty or torn. Driven by water pressure,
reverse osmosis systems use 3 to 10 gallons of
water just to produce one gallon of drinking water.
Whatever water system you choose, always be sure
it is maintained properly so it performs at its
best.
